Mac vs. PC

The best advertisement video by Apple. It’s just hilarious! So, are you going to switch to Vista? I’m one of the person who is downgrading back to XP just because I think that Vista is wasting memory. Game performance is much better when I use XP over Vista. Counter Strike Source for example will give me an average of 60-90 fps when I use Vista, and will give me average about 20-60 when I use XP. I’m not going to Leopard just because it’s not an Open Source and I can’t play around with it as much as if I use Fedora Core 8. So, I decided to dual boot Windows XP and Fedora Core 8, then get the Leopard skin for FC 8 to make it beautiful.

How can writing be fun?

Some people like it, some people don’t. Is it possible to make writing be fun for everybody? Yes!

There are various ways to make writing fun for everybody, but some people are just like myself, HATES to write a long paragraph, and when we do write very long paragraph, most of them are not making any sense. We prefer to write lists of instructions instead of stories.

Writing can be fun if we know how to write, that is true. We are not used with writing because we don’t use it in our daily life as much as we are talking. Putting all ideas into writing can be difficult, especially to those who doesn’t have basic knowledge of writing.

Alright, so how to make writing be fun? It’s simple, start from blogging. How about a topic? It can be anything from your own annoying keyboard to your college professor, or even plan to go to the bathroom. It’s as simple as what you think AT this second that interest you. The most difficult task in writing is probably focusing to the topic. From my personal experience, this is the most difficult task when I was writing a blog. Hopefully you can see the difference between my current and previous posts.

Popular sites such as Blogger  and Wordpress are offering free blogging space for their users. Happy blogging!

Phase of a Game

Quite simple but very important to understand to start out in a game development. In this case, we’re using Microsoft DirectX as part of the phase.

Stanford and Facebook

Have you ever wondered on what kind of classes that you’re going to get when you get into one of the top universities in the nation?

And guess what, you can learn all of these on your own instead of being in those packed classes :) I would also say that making these applications are fun by the fact that you can share what you developed with your friends and colleagues at Facebook

Semantic Web

The Semantic Web is a web of data. There is lots of data we all use every day, and its not part of the web. I can see my bank statements on the web, and my photographs, and I can see my appointments in a calendar. But can I see my photos in a calendar to see what I was doing when I took them? Can I see bank statement lines in a calendar?

Why not? Because we don’t have a web of data. Because data is controlled by applications, and each application keeps it to itself.

The Semantic Web is about two things. It is about common formats for integration and combination of data drawn from diverse sources, where on the original Web mainly concentrated on the interchange of documents. It is also about language for recording how the data relates to real world objects. That allows a person, or a machine, to start off in one database, and then move through an unending set of databases which are connected not by wires but by being about the same thing.

Random Pop-up Questions

How can our life be meaningful if there’s no God? This question is suddenly pop-up to my mind when I’ve a thought of “death”. Have you ever imagined what is it when you are on the dead state? This imagination is beyond my mind of what is life after death? Is there even a life after death?

If there’s no life after death, then is this the end of everything that we have done in our lives? Is this it? How much more fun can we have in our life to meke our live more meaningful after we die? Does that mean that our life is meaningless?

When you have thought about these questions, there’s not really a single answer to it. Many people may have different perspective depending on their background and experiences in lives. Some say that since there’s no life after death, then it is important for us to make our life as much fun as possible. But, is there really a fun that we can do if all of those fun at the very end means nothing…? Are they really the outermost of happiness that we can achieve? Is there an ultimate happiness?

There is something, that is greater than what we could ever imagined and beyond our reasoning capabilities that could answer all of these questions: faith
